Charity for Long Island

Teresa’s Family Cleaning has always been a strong supporter of Charity for Long Island.  As a long time supporter of Long Island Harvest, Toys for Tots and other local fundraising events, owner Teresa Ward fully believes that charity begins at home. After the the loss of her sister Virginia she formed The Cleaning Angels USA in order to meet the needs of Long Island women who are overwhelmed with the pain and stress of cancer treatment.

Our Support of Charity for Long Island

In an effort to continue to give back to those on Long Island, Teresa’s Family Cleaning is a proud supporter of Fight for Charity. Our very own Tai “The Mop” Vicari will be stepping into the ring as a 2014 Long Island Fight for Charity Volunteer Boxer.

The Long Island Fight for Charity was created by the founders of Long Island Community Chest. This unique organization has raised over $850,000 since its founding in 2002. Charities to be supported include Long Island Community Chest, Genesis School, and National Foundation for Human Potential.

The proceeds from Fight for Charity’s fund-raising efforts will be donated to charities that offer programs for adults and children in need who live right here on Long Island. The Fight for Charity “Main Event” will sell out early and draw over 1,200 fans and supporters along with numerous corporate, restaurant and other sponsors.

We are committed to a record-breaking fundraising year and need your support today to achieve Tai’s  fund-raising goals and to give solid support for the event.  If you want to be part of Tai’s team, or to make a donation to this amazing charity please click HERE for more information  This will be a great event and we hope to see you there!

This is a wonderful charity whom I have interviewed. I have also interviewed teresa and Tai and know how much they are doing to help our Communities.
Best of Luck and stay with that tough boxer regimen.

In the past 11 years they have raised more and more. We are keeping up that pace and hopefully we will bring awareness not only to the fundraiser but to those special charities that are here on Long Island. Thank you for reading, please share.

It does sound like a great cause. We participate in the Toys for Tots program here in Iowa every year – it can be so satisfying.

Very active. Who knew that a boxer had to do so much training. It’s truly intense, but all for 3 great causes. Please share this blog.
