Founded in 1993 by Teresa Ward in the basement and garage of her own home, Teresa's Family Cleaning has grown into one of the most successful home and commercial cleaning services on Long Island, with a spotless reputation.
Today, with 35 employees, 14 crews, and 4 full-time office staff, we serve families and businesses across Suffolk County, Nassau County, and the Hamptons from our base in Rocky Point with satellite offices in Huntington, Southampton, and Westbury.
President & Founder
A native Long Islander, Teresa grew up running a successful family business. In 1993, she founded Teresa's Family Cleaning from her own basement and garage, building it into one of Long Island's premier cleaning companies.
Teresa is an active participant in more than 25 business, civic, and charitable organizations. She is the Vice-President of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI), and is highly sought after as a public speaker, sharing successful business techniques with other local business people.
After losing her own sister, Virginia, to cancer, Teresa committed her heart and her business to helping women who are overwhelmed with the pain and stress of cancer treatment. She founded Cleaning Angels USA to meet the overwhelming need for cleaning services for anyone recently diagnosed with a critical illness.

Every employee is carefully screened with two personal references plus a past job reference. Our crews undergo extensive training through Teresa's custom video training program and are equipped with all the professional supplies and equipment needed.
Our team works in crews of two, with job supervisors performing regular spot-checks to ensure consistent quality. Employees are paid hourly wages — not commission — so they can focus on doing the best job possible in your home.

Teresa's Family Cleaning is also New York's founding chapter of Cleaning for a Reason, and the New York chapter of Cleaning for Heroes — providing free services to veterans in need.
